Student Medical Insurance

For many years the Community College System of New Hampshire (CCSNH) has offered a Student Medical Insurance Plan. This plan was designed to assist students to meet their basic expenses arising from both accidents and sickness, and which also met the requirements for allied health students to participate in their clinical responsibilities in hospitals and other health care facilities.

With the current uncertainties of health insurance plans at both the federal and state levels, and with the current State of New Hampshire insurance rules that are in place, the provider of our Student Medical Insurance Plan, Cross Insurance, can no longer offer the existing CCSNH plan.  Cross will continue to offer an Accident Only plan.  Information is available in the Student Services Office, Room 156.

This link provides a resource list of possible health insurance companies that could provide either individual health insurance or short term (6 months) health insurance. If you will be in need of health insurance, you should contact these resources immediately to see what plans are available and which could meet your specific needs. Information regarding the Federal Exchange will be available starting October 1st at www.healthcare.gov and will be effective January 2014.
